On this bike tour of Bordeaux, we'll see the main attractions of this French city from another point of view while we review the highlights of its history.

Bordeaux City Bike Tour

We'll meet at the designated time on Rue du Jardin Public in Bordeaux. After a brief technical talk beforehand, we'll start the bicycle tour of Bordeaux and the main districts of the capital of Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Our first stop will be in front of the Palais Gallien, the remains of the ancient Roman amphitheatre, perfect for traveling back in time and taking pictures. On the way to the Notre-Dame Church, we'll pass in front of the Galerie des Grands Hommes.

Then, we'll continue to the stunning Saint-André Cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site. We'll stop in front of its facade to learn the history of the cathedral, and afterward, we'll reach the Tribunal Judiciaire, a prime example of Bordeaux's Neoclassical architecture.

We'll cycle to the Grosse Cloche, one of the city's symbols. Then, we'll stop in the historic district of Saint-Michel, located on the banks of the Garonne River. The main architectural jewel of this district is the Saint-Michel Basilica, a masterpiece of Flamboyant Gothic, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our tour will continue by crossing the Pont de Pierre, the oldest bridge in Bordeaux, until we reach the Quai des Queyries, where we'll enjoy fantastic views of the riverbank.

Next, we'll go to Darwin, an alternative space with street art and charming shops. Here, you'll have 20 minutes of free time to rest. Then, continuing our bike tour, we'll reach the Pont Jacques Chaban-Delmas, the tallest suspension bridge in France, and we'll stop in front of the futuristic Cité du Vin to admire its unique design.

The final stretch of the tour will take us along the Quai des Chartrons, the lively Rue Notre-Dame, and the elegant Cours Xavier Arnozan, where we'll make our last stop to admire its elegant 18th-century buildings.

Finally, after 14 km (8.6 mi), we'll return to the starting point to conclude this 3-hour bike tour.
